THE ANGLER WHO LIKES TO FISH LURE PATTERNS AGAIN IS ALSO HAVING GREAT RESULTS WITH PAATERNS SUCH AS THE WOLLY BUGERS,NO MADS, AND VARIOUS NYMPHS. No wind and lots of sunshine provided challenging conditions but many anglers took good bags of fish.
Dries including Black Gnat, Blay and Black and Daddies all did particularly well.

Damsels and mini cats were the most successful lures fished on intermediate lines.

Buzzers took fish but were not as successful as usual - Black was the best colour this week.

Mr Gray had the Best fish of the week at 13lb 14oz on a Dry Daddy...

Fishing has continued to be excellent with most anglers catching well into double figures.Good fish have been among them upto doubles and Mr Reid from the Black Isle had a nice £100 Tagged fish.Fish have started to come to dry fly although not constant with the way the temps are but it is a good sign that spring is about.Pleasing to hear from anglers commenting on "good quality hard fighting fish"which is what we want to constantly acheive and always strive to ensure that anglers have a good days fishing a go away happy.Floating lines are all that you need and buzzers will always work .With mature water plenty of insect life are here and it makes for dry fly sport.Wild Browns will do well this year with good ones already being taken heaviest at 4lb but plenty between 2 and 21/2lbs caught as a natural burn runs through the lochs. Most have been in good shape some still a little thin after spawning but will soon get to peak fighting fitness and give anglers good sport. All the signs are good for this years season going on the way it is fishing at the present.
